The world is still in an unpredictable zone right now and no one knows when better times are coming. This is clearly seen in the “Hold” status imposed by most Venture Capitals world-wide, due to this impeding unpredictability. 
The only thing we can do is to keep pushing forward and hope for the best. With innovations and new tools a better future will be created for all of us.
In most of those new tools, data and machine learning plays a critical part. Be it in the case of individuals, large corporations or startups, all need to learn how to leverage the data they have. They need to learn how to pick up insights from that data, or how to use tools that are created using data to become better professionals or businesses.
This is especially true in the case of marketing. Today, if you don’t use data insights and the latest AI tools in your market analysis and customer analysis, you are dead in the water. You can either adapt to the new data driven world, or die trying to fight it.
Don’t forget the emerging Web 3.0, which also has data as its foundation. The Web 3.0 could potentially revolutionize the world, if it uses the best tools available, so that it can grow up from its incipient stage to adulthood. However, we must also be aware and focused on the technologies built on the Web 3.0 that actually drive change and not on those that are used only as pixie dust, to make some people rich at the expense of others. You should not dive headfirst into all of the Web 3.0 bubble, but choose carefully.
It is also critical for both businesses and individuals to become antifragile by adapting to the environments they live in. For businesses, learning how to promote intrapreneurs and innovation in their company may be the most important thing in achieving this.
For individual professionals, they need to adapt and use the newest data-driven tools, so that they can stay on top of the talent market. They need to leverage data and Artificial Intelligence in their work, to provide better value to their employers.
