DDIntel - Inflation Theft and Crypto Troubles
By DataDrivenInvestor • Issue #17 • View online
Hello, all you tech and finance enthusiasts, and welcome to our latest issue of DDIntel.
In this issue, we cover all the very best news in cryptocurrency and finance, with some interesting articles from our top writers Tim Denning and Marx D. At the moment, both the finance and the cryptocurrency world is out of kilter, Bitcoin has dramatically slumped, and the world economy is dealing with record-high inflation rates, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tim Denning drills into the inflation issues further with his latest article, and Marx D dives into why he cashed out of cryptocurrency, despite the huge increase in value last week. However, not all hope is lost with our experts providing unrivalled tips and advice on dealing with the turbulent world economy and crypto world.
We also touch on the climate change crises in light of the COP 26 conference in Glasgow and how trees can help reverse the problem. Trees are an underrated natural resource that can help invert the temperature of the earth. Scientists and humanity, in general, need to be open to more new ideas about climate change. We might also need to be more aware of the Last of Us Style Fungus, which is quite literally turning animals into zombies. It seems, though, scientists have an answer and solution for dealing with zombie animals, unlike the climate, which is odd. Regardless, check out this insightful article below explaining how the fungus is turning living creatures into zombies. This issue also features other interesting articles, such as how Sony managed to pass up the Marvel franchise and what Metaverse will reign supreme out of the Sandbox and Decentraland in the long run.
As usual, check out our DDI medium page and our official site for more insightful articles. We hope you enjoy this latest issue of DDIntel.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most popular cinematic creations on the planet. The popular MCU took the world by storm when Iron Man’s first movie was released in the early 2000s. Ever since Tony Stark made his debut on the big screen, the MCU has been wildly popular with films such as Avengers Infinity War and Endgame, breaking box office records. A typical buzzword nowadays is the “Metaverse”, with companies such as Facebook changing their name to Meta in the hope of claiming a majority market share. There are two prominent contenders currently battling for supremacy in the Metaverse space, The Sandbox and Decentraland. Both are huge Metaverse ecosystems with dedicated in-game cryptocurrency. But which one is better? Pavle Marinkovic seeks to find out in his latest article, outlining where you should place your bets. If you are intrigued by the Metaverse and want to find out more, give this article a read.
Why I Sold Off All My Bitcoin - Marx D. | DataDrivenInvestor
Bitcoin has been up, down, and all over the place. Just last week, bitcoin had smashed through the $60,000 mark, heading toward that magic $100,000 value. But, its high value was short-lived as it came crashing down to around $56,000. Bitcoin isn’t the only cryptocurrency that saw a dive, with other cryptos such as Dogecoin, Cardano and BNB also witnessing a decline. Unsurprisingly, at the same time, Eth and metaverse based tokens such as Sand saw a rise in value. Although cryptocurrency is notoriously volatile, many argue to stick with it for the long haul. However, Bitcoin veteran Marx D just cashed out of Bitcoin. Check out his article above, explaining why.

The Value of Trees and Combating Global Warming | DataDrivenInvestor
Global warming is the biggest crisis facing our generation. Humanity is turning the earth into an oven. The planet is burning, and we are doing little to stop it. The recent COP 26 conference in Glasgow helped set the stage for how humanity will tackle climate change, laying out several groundbreaking pledges to tackle the enormous issue. However, more needs to be done. Jerry Lawson, in his article, outlines what we must all do to tackle climate change. He leans on past ideas and philosophers to justify his argument, reasoning that trees are the best bet to combating climate change and that the world must be open to new ideas in the future.
